About the Gashes
The Gaff Ashes, or Gashes for short were made from an old wooden gaff that was burnt. The ashes are stored in a trophy that is presented to the best fisherman of each trip.

Getting pumped myself Ryan. What were you catching there off the Ledge? Big Salmon or Yellowtail Kings?
Thats a bit of recycled footage from 2009. They were all bust off's :) I suspect mine was a stingray, but matts looked to have a bit more headshakes to it. Bigger than a salmon for sure.. maybe a kingy but we'll never know :(
